history

When the Pilgram Fathers set sail on the Mayflower in 1620 they were determined to establish the best possible home for themselves and future generations.

It was to be free of religious and social bias, a place where people were to be cared for as individuals offering to each the best in life.

Over 300 years later the same pioneering spirit saw the opening of Mayflower Homes in 1960 as an outreach of the Collins Street Uniting Church.

Today Mayflower is recognised as a leader in care for the aged and provides Independent Living, Hostel and Nursing Home accommodation.

The Mayflower story is the miracle of committed men and women whose dedication has realised an impossible dream.
