Project update – 29th May 2025
Redevelopment of the seniors living precinct at Highview Crescent Macleod.
We’re pleased to report that Jemena, the power authority, completed the service disconnection on site on Wednesday 28/5. With approval now received for the tree protection zones, demolition is set to commence on Monday, June 2, 2025.
What to expect next
• Demolition will continue from the parkland end of the property and work toward Glenmore Street
• Works will be conducted between 7AM and 4:30PM on weekdays by City Circle Demolition for approximately 8-10 weeks. While there are currently no plans for Saturday work, the contractor may operate on Saturdays within approved council timeframes if required.
• Fences will stay in place except where access is required by trucks and excavators
• Night-time security patrols will continue throughout this period.
