Aged Care

Aged Care

Through our residential aged care services at Brighton and Reservoir, we are committed to providing holistic care options that meet the needs of our residents, and their families, in relation to individual clinical, physical, social, spiritual and emotional support. Ultimately, our aim is to maintain the independence, lifestyle and social relationships of our residents in a secure and harmonious environment.

At Mayflower we consult with every new resident and their family representative to develop an individually tailored Care Plan that meets needs and wishes of that resident. This Care Plan is monitored and reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that Mayflower responds to any changes in health status or requirements.

Mayflower's focus on person-centred care is also reflected in our qualified nursing staff, who monitor and manage the health and wellbeing of our residents 24 hours a day.  In conjunction the personal care staff provides services including assistance with dressing, bathing, meals and other activities of daily living.

Our latest accommodation reflects aged care contemporary design including single rooms with en-suites which enhance privacy and dignity and furniture and fittings which are 'fit for purpose'.  Our older style rooms have had significant refurbishment and provide comfortable and pleasant accommodation. All residents have an electric bed which supports differing care needs

Residents can enjoy well-appointed lounges and dining rooms, gardens, courtyards and other communal spaces and facilities as detailed below.

The Australian Aged Care Quality Agency (AACQA), in accordance with the Commonwealth of Australia Aged Care Act 1997 has granted Mayflower Brighton and Reservoir accreditation for respite and long term care.

Accreditation is usually awarded in three year cycles. Periodic site visits will be conducted by the AACQA during the period of accreditation to overview care delivery to ensure that required outcomes are being met.

An annual continuous improvement plan drives all quality activities across the organisation and this plan provides the framework to ensure that accreditation standards are met.
