Mayflower Appoints Paul Gregersen as Chief Executive Officer

The Mayflower Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Gregersen as the new Chief Executive Officer of Mayflower Group. Paul will officially commence in the role on 1 July 2025.
Paul brings more than 35 years of senior leadership experience, including 25 years in the healthcare and aged care sectors. He has held executive roles in both for-purpose and corporate organisations, with leadership responsibilities across Australia and internationally. Paul has experience across a full spectrum of services — from health funding to primary care, hospitals, and aged care — and is passionate about improving the quality of life for older Australians.
His extensive experience includes the successful development of 23 new aged care homes and the integration of more than 50 services into existing portfolios. His strategic and operational expertise has supported more than $2 billion in healthcare investments over his career. In addition, Paul has contributed to national aged care policy reform, serving as an expert member of the Aged Care Financing Authority, appointed by the Hon. Mark Butler, Minister for Aged Care.
The Mayflower Board, led by Chair Mary-Jane Stolp, warmly welcomes Paul to the organisation.
“We are delighted to welcome Paul to Mayflower,” said Ms Stolp.
“He brings extensive leadership experience and a strong understanding of aged care, which will be invaluable as we continue to evolve and strengthen our services. Paul’s people-focused approach is a natural fit for our organisation and the communities we support.”
“I’m honoured to be joining Mayflower, an organisation with a strong reputation for compassionate, person-centred care,” said Mr Gregersen.
“I look forward to working alongside the Board, team members, residents, clients, families, and the broader Mayflower community to build on the great work already underway and help shape the next chapter of Mayflower’s journey.”
Paul holds an MBA with distinction and is a graduate of the prestigious Advanced Management Program at Wharton Business School. He is known for his hands-on, values-led leadership style and deep commitment to person-centred care.
Paul’s appointment follows the resignation of current CEO Stuart Rodney, who advised the Board of his decision to step down in April 2025 for personal family reasons. The Board sincerely thanks Stuart for his leadership and the positive impact he has made during his time at Mayflower.
Paul and Stuart will work closely together in a dedicated handover period commencing 1 July, ensuring a smooth leadership transition and continuity of care and operations across all Mayflower services.
