New Mayflower Board Chair Announced

Mayflower Announces Board Leadership Changes Following Annual General Meeting
Following Mayflower’s Annual General Meeting on 26 October 2026, Mayflower has announced a number of changes to its Board, including the appointment of Catherine Nance as Chair and the retirement of long-serving Directors Mary-Jane Stolp and Chris Reside.
Mary-Jane Stolp has stepped down from the Mayflower Board after more than six years of dedicated service, including serving as Board Chair since January 2024.
Since joining the Board in 2020, Mary-Jane has made a significant contribution to Mayflower, drawing on her extensive experience in clinical governance, quality, strategy and risk management. As Chair, she has led the Board through a period of considerable change for both Mayflower and the broader aged care sector, always maintaining a strong focus on good governance, organisational purpose and Mayflower’s long-term future.
Her contribution has also extended well beyond the Boardroom. Mary-Jane has been a visible and engaged presence across the Mayflower community, regularly attending resident and community events and taking the time to connect with residents, families and staff.
Mayflower warmly congratulates Mary-Jane on her appointment as the incoming Board Chair of Uniting AgeWell and wishes her every success in this next chapter.
Also stepping down from the Board is Chris Reside, who joined Mayflower in 2017 and has made a significant contribution over almost a decade of service.
Chris served as Deputy Chair from 2021 until October 2025 and has also chaired Mayflower’s Corporate Governance Committee. Throughout his time on the Board, he has generously shared his considerable governance and not-for-profit experience, helping strengthen Mayflower’s governance and stewardship.
Known for his exceptional attention to detail and deep knowledge of governance, Chris has also been a highly approachable and generous colleague, regularly supporting fellow Directors and members of the executive team in working through complex governance matters. His commitment to Mayflower has extended beyond his role as a Director, including through his personal philanthropic support of the organisation.
Mayflower sincerely thanks both Mary-Jane and Chris for the time, expertise, energy and care they have given to the organisation and the communities it serves.
Following the AGM, Catherine Nance has been appointed Chair of the Mayflower Board.
Catherine joined the Mayflower Board in July 2024 and has since made a valued contribution to the organisation’s governance and strategic direction. Her appointment provides continuity for Mayflower as the organisation continues to deliver on its strategic priorities, invest in its services and position itself for the future.
Catherine said she was honoured to take on the role and acknowledged the contribution of both outgoing Directors.
“Mary-Jane and Chris have each made an enormous contribution to Mayflower, and I would like to thank them for the leadership, commitment and care they have brought to the organisation over many years.
“I look forward to working with my fellow Directors, Paul and the executive team as Mayflower continues to strengthen, evolve and deliver on our commitment to Care without Compromise.”
Drago Chikitch will continue in his role as Deputy Chair, providing further continuity to the Board’s leadership.
Mayflower CEO Paul Gregersen thanked Mary-Jane and Chris for their service and welcomed Catherine’s appointment.
“Strong governance is fundamental to Mayflower’s ability to serve our residents and communities well. Mary-Jane and Chris have each played an important role in Mayflower’s stewardship, and we are enormously grateful for their contribution.
“I look forward to continuing to work closely with Catherine, Drago and the broader Board as we pursue Mayflower’s strategic priorities and long-term growth plans.”
The changes reflect the continued evolution of the Mayflower Board and its focus on strong governance, continuity and ensuring Mayflower remains well placed to support older people and their communities into the future.
