May is the special month when we honour all the wonderful women in our community – for all they have done, and continue to do, for each one of us.

And, to honour each woman, we celebrated Mother's Day with a little extra flair this year. The spirit of love and appreciation was tangible as we honoured the incredible women in our community.

At Mayflower Reservoir, a delightful high tea was served, featuring a delectable selection of treats prepared by our talented in-house chefs. From ribbon sandwiches to light and fluffy scones, custard tarts, and more, every bite was a culinary delight. The air was filled with joy as residents indulged in the sumptuous feast, savouring the flavours and enjoying the company of loved ones.

A live performance by Music Therapist Zita filled the air, captivating residents with popular songs and bringing out their inner dancers. Pampering gifts and comforting hot cuppas added the perfect finishing touch to the afternoon of fun.

At Mayflower Edith Bendall, their week-long celebration included a Mother's Day stall, pampering sessions, and champagne toasting. The Mother’s Day stall was so successful, residents are now planning something special – do they spend it on a luncheon out-and-about, do they splurge on some extra special pampering, or do they spend the afternoon out at the movies? The options are endless.

At Mayflower Brighton, residents enjoyed a special luncheon across the home, with barramundi just one of the special lunch selections on offer. Each woman was gifted a beautiful bag of goodies on Mother’s Day itself, including perfume, an embroidered hanky and a beautiful brooch.
