A Sweet Day at Brighton, on National Donut Day
Earlier this month, residents at Mayflower Brighton enjoyed the perfect excuse to indulge their sweet tooth – National Donut Day.
Yes - there really is a National Donut Day, and it’s not related to COVID-19.

The day started in 1938 as a fundraiser during the Great Depression, and to honor The Salvation Army "Lassies" of World War I, who served doughnuts to soldiers.
These days, donut stores around the country get into the spirit, giving away thousands of free donuts.
