Happy 100th Birthday, Jack!
Today, on May 24, 2024 Jack joins the Centenarian club - please help us wish him a very happy birthday!
Born in Corryong on May 24, 1924, Jack is a World War II veteran who bravely served his country with pride – enlisting at the tender age of just 17.
Jack served in the 5th Scottish Regiment, 39th Infantry Battalion, Fortress Sigs, ANGAU, and 19AAOD during his 4 years and 10 months of service. His memoir, ‘A Spotter Recalls,’ thoughtfully retells his wartime experiences.
In 1949, he found love with his late wife Beryl, raising three children together.
For over 50 years, Jack dedicated himself to building, leaving a lasting mark on countless projects and homes.
Now, Jack finds joy in the activities and warmth of Mayflower Edith Bendall, where he's been a cherished member since 2022.
