It’s that special time of year, where there’s plenty of colour, fairy lights, gorgeous decorations, sweet treats, and a dash of festive spirit.

The Christmas season across Mayflower has been a great way to shake off the lockdown blues, and a good excuse for residents to kick up their heels and have a little extra fun!

At Mayflower Reservoir, residents had a ‘Christmas Spectacular’ day – complete with two live performers singing some Christmas favourites, a raffle draw with incredible prizes, some great food and Santa and his helpers popped by to hand out presents to everyone.

Our care team also got into the spirit, donning Christmas colours and hitting the dance floor along with residents and family members who  joined in the fun.

Mayflower Brighton had their first Christmas party at night – with The Bayside Singers singing Christmas Carols and Santa making a BIG entry – delivering gifts to all. More Christmas Carols were enjoyed a few days later, with carols sung by the good people of St Leondard’s Church – bright and early before lunch.

Our teams across Mayflower been in the spirit all month, wearing Christmas t-shirts, Santa hats, reindeer antlers and festive colours to add a little extra cheer to the everyday. And it works! By wearing something a little different, residents and our team can find new ways to connect with each other, sparking conversation and inspiring plenty of laughs.
