March 24, 2022

Our ‘mini-bus’ trips have well and truly recommenced, with residents keen to enjoy scenic cruises and outings again - queuing up to climb on board.

Now Summer has ended and Autumn is beginning to provide relief from the heat, it is the perfect time to enjoy the outdoors in comfort.

It was perfect weather, not too hot and not too cold, when this group of residents from Mayflower Brighton chose to go on a picnic, at Karkarook Park wetlands.

The group fed their bellies with freshly made sandwiches and a fruit platter. They also filled their hearts and souls with good conversation and gorgeous views of the lake.

Previously a sand mine, the stunning lake now provides a refuge for many types of water birds, a home to plenty of fish, and native plants.

What a pleasant way to spend an afternoon!
