The Winter 2024 Edition of Grapevine is out now!

June 11, 2024

The latest edition of grapevine is out now, just in time to warm some hearts. Available online or at one of our facilities. Grapevine news is a great way to catch up on all the latest happenings across the Mayflower group. This edition features Celebrations of Valentine’s Day, St Patrick’s Day, Mother’s Day, Volunteers Day, and 2 very special birthdays.

A season of celebrations.

With so many celebrations happening across the Mayflower group, it was almost too much to keep up with. Mayflower Brighton, Reservoir and Edith Bendall residents and staff all got to share the love at special events on Valentine’s Day. This was followed by everything turning Irish green for St Patrick's day.

We had a range of Easter festivities across the group, but Mayflower Reservoir had double the treat celebrating both Easter and Orthodox Easter. There was a lot of crafting and making of decorations and goodies for the festivities, and chocolate eggs of course.

Then we had Mother’s Day. A special time for many, with families coming in to celebrate. The Mayflower team made sure that every woman was celebrated, with pampering gifts for all.

100th birthdays.

Turning 100 is a rare feat, or maybe not? There were two 100thbirthdays across the Mayflower group just recently. Mayflower Reservoir resident Alice recently proved that keeping both your mind and body fit is the key to a long life. Whilst Mayflower Edith Bendall resident Jack keeps soldiering on, showing his true Army colours.
