All Aboard!

Just before the latest lockdown hit Melbourne, residents of Mayflower Brighton enjoyed a special day out on the water.

The day started with a scenic drive on the Mayflower bus to the heart of the CBD. A short while later residents eagerly walked aboard their cruise boat ready to head down the Yarra River.

Hot cuppas were served in the cosy glass cabin - helping residents to keep warm as they enjoyed the view, commentary, and good company.

As the cruise meandered down the Docklands, they enjoyed the sites of our great city, along with historical vessels and buildings – each showcasing our maritime history along the way.

It was a beautiful and rare sunny day in winter, and one not to be forgotten.

Another cruise is planned for spring.
