Sing Out

Plato said, “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” Our residents were certainty uplifted when 16 members of the St Leonard’s Uniting Church Choir performed at Mayflower Brighton in the Ada Hyde House lounge.

The St Leonard’s choir has been presenting a monthly sing-along with residents at Mayflower for six years. The inspiring music presented by the choir is eagerly awaited and thoroughly enjoyed, with residents getting out their hymnbooks and joining the chorus.

Music is central to worship at St Leonard’s Church with regular music based events combining the talent and enthusiasm of their congregation. The choir loves sharing their music during their visits to Mayflower and from the hearty singing that echoed through the hallways our residents also embraced the spirit of the song.
